What We Do
CMI Claims Management
CMI provides claims management services to a wide array of clients including self-insureds, captive insurers and other risk management entities. We specialize in Products and General Liability and will tailor a program to meet your needs. We also handle Workers' Compensation, professional liability, trucking liability, auto liability, and property programs.
Each client works with his or her own personal Account Manager for the utmost ease in handling. No matter what you need, just one phone call to your Account Manager and you're on your way to a solution. All of our Account Managers have well over fifteen years of claims management experience. They are prepared to consult with you on the most complex cases.
Our Account Managers use their years of experience to properly reserve reported claims. We keep clients advised of these reserves through reports and computer processing.
CMI Claims Investigation
CMI has a worldwide network of premier talent, with staff investigators averaging over 20 years of experience. Specializing in Products, Auto and General Liability and Workers' Compensation cases, the CMI investigator, in partnership with your personal Account Manager, will help you determine a specific plan of action for your case.
The plan of action will lead to swift gathering of all the facts and details surrounding your case. Witness statements, official reports, media coverage and photographs will all be sought and preserved.
CMI's high quality investigation is paramount to the control of the case; after reviewing all the evidence, you will be able to objectively evaluate your case and make a decision to pay or defend.
Specialized Services
Claim Auditing
We audit SIR and/or primary level claim functions. This provides an objective evaluation of the investigation, reserving practices, adjustment and management capabilities of the audited company.
Product Surveys
CMI has performed product surveys for major manufacturers for the last ten years. Surveys are conducted throughout the United States, and some have been performed internationally by experienced field investigators familiar with the manufacturer’s product issues. These confidential surveys are completed at a low-cost volume discount to the manufacturers.
Trademark Infringement
CMI performs trademark infringement investigations for various manufacturers. They use our reports to determine the nature and extent of any possible trademark infringement, and then determine the appropriate action in each case.
Dedicated Units
To demonstrate our flexibility with clients, we feature Dedicated Claim Units. These teams of experts can be housed and equipped within our offices, or at your business location. CMI will recruit, interview and hire the claims personnel needed for any specialized area of business.
Mediations/Trial Monitoring
Our highly trained and experienced Account Managers and field investigators have established themselves with The Defense Bar. They understand the sensitive and confidential nature of settlement negotiations during mediations and the importance of accurate and timely reporting to clients during trial.
